Simon and River Tam from Joss Whedon's Firefly TV series.(If you haven't seen Firefly you need to watch it, like right Now)
Sketchbook paper and graphite pencil
This shot is from the pilot episode Serenity, during one of the most compelling monologues I've heard yet. The interaction between these two characters are some of my favorite moments in the series.
That said I don't think I really did them justice with this one, Note to self: Pick shots where people's faces are more in focus!
It didn't scan well either. :/
I love this! A memerable scene very nicely drawn. I find good references photos of Firefly characters very hard to find. But it seems you can do with a screen cap.

Thanks.
I use Windows Media Player classic (free for download, open source) to get the screen caps, it has a built in function for it. A little hard to get the exact frame you want sometimes, but better than trying to use print screen to do it in one of the newer players.
Wow, neat scene to choose to draw and nice job to boot. This'll probably sound stupid, but even tho you chose a kinda blurry shot, you copied it pretty well. And you got River's expression perfectly.

This is absolutely perfect. I adore this scene, and I just love the brother-sister interaction between Simon and River. You captured this shot perfectly!
